With so many hairstyles, length, style, cut etc… how do you know exactly what to do with your hair when it comes to working out?
What if your hair is not long enough to put in a ponytail? What if it is too long and whips you in the face? Maybe your bangs are always getting on your nerves.
Well whatever your “hair issue” I have the perfect blog that will fix all of your hairstyle drama and allow you to focus solely on your sport!
The Classic Ponytail
This is a great hairstyle to keep your hair out of your face and off your shoulders and neck.
1. Slick hair back into a tight pony at your crown and secure with a clear ponytail elastic.
2. If you have fly-aways insert bobby pins to hold them down.
3. Rub a touch of styling lotion over your hairline and down the length of the pony to tame flyaways.
The Bun
This style does the best job of keeping long hair off your face, neck and back. Great for sports with a lot of running and/or jumping.
1. Pull hair back into a ponytail, grasp it and twist until it is tight.
2. Then wrap the entire length of the twisted hair around the base of the ponytail, and secure hair using an elastic or bobby pins.
To make this style even more secure, use a braided ponytail.
*Curly hair is most easily secured using this hair style.
Side Braid
1.Gather all your hair on one side of your head.
3. Using the small chunk of hair make a very tight braid.
4. Take your braid go all the way down to the bottom of your hair and put an elastic around it.
5.Add the braid in so it is in the front and put it into a side ponytail.
6.You will notice there is a bump on the top of your head from where you have started the braid, use hairspray and spray it until it is flat.
Braided Pigtails
Thid style has all the benefits of a braid, as well as the additional advantage of keeping hair off of your neck and back.
1. separate your hair into two equal sections down the middle of your scalp.
2. Braid both of these sections, and secure them with elastics.
This style can work on most types of hair, and if your hair is too short for 2 braids simple put it into 1.
The Headband
If your hair is too short to pull back, this style may be your only option. Headbands come in a multitude of varieties, all of which help to prevent hair from flying into your face while you exercise.
A thick band that wraps all the way around your hair will do the best job of securing hair.
Headbands can be used in conjunction with any hair style to further secure hair while you are at the gym.
Now you can still workout hard, but look cute in the process!
