My husband is a HUGE hash brown lover, and all though they are very tasty they do not make him feel as good as they taste.
So I solved the problem and created this great sweet potato hash brown recipe that my husband swears are the best he’s ever had!
So Fit Ones you be the judge:
Fit Chic Sweet Potato Hash Browns
Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes peeled and sliced into thin pieces
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of diced onion
1/4 cup of diced green pepper
1 teaspoon of creole seasoning
1/2 cup of diced sausage or bacon (or both)
*optional Tapatio on top for added spice and flavor
Directions:
In a large skillet heat the oil and onions, garlic, and potatoes until the onions are slightly browned.
Next add the sausage or bacon and green pepper continue to saute over medium heat until the meat is cooked throughout.
Serve.
I also made my hash browns with some scrambled eggs on the side and it was the perfect complement to an already great dish.
