I was listening to a wonderful Podcast on Lewis Howes .. He was interviewing Wilmer Valdarama about his life, career, and how he got to the place he is today. I did not know much about Wilmer, but what I found was I sucked in by his authenticity. He just was who he was and wanted to continue to work hard, set goals, and become a better person each day. In return opportunities could then be presented to him because he was open, prepared, and ready to take them on.
I often say I want to get to the point that I can have a television crew follow me each and every day and I would be completely authentic to what i am telling my clients, friends, and family.
So how do we get there… You have to be in tune with you! Katy Perry’s Song “Roar” has a verse that says “I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything”. If we are unclear or influenced and affected by what others say, think, or might do you will never be able to live the life you ultimately want to as your worry will inhibit the vision.
We have all seen “Phony” or “Fake” people and we get very turned off by it, so why would you want to act like this in anyway? ..
Even if you did get what you wanted .. if it doesn’t come from a place of humility and authenticity it will never affect you or the people you come into contact with the way it is ultimately intended.
Take a look at where you are today .. why are you there?
Where do you want to go?
How are you going to get there being 100% authentic?
