We all want beautiful radiant skin that has that special glow …
So why can’t we? We Can!
Here are the top 5 BAD habits that cold be leaving you with bad breakouts …
#1 Slay the Sugar Dragon –
Sugar is not only harmful to our bodies .. It is also very harmful to our skin as well. Constantly spiking our blood sugar levels and then later crashing down is an unhealthy cycle that many of us subject our bodies to, and the effects often are shown on our face.
Watch your sugars by journaling what you are putting in your mouth. Sugars have a sneaky way of making their way into our diet in large doses. Now you can really see how much you are consuming and make a conscious effort to change.
#2 Drink LOTS of H2O –
Water is a great hydrator and flushes out harmful toxins in our system. It replenishes skin and gives you that smooth silky feel. Make sure you are drinking at least 64oz of water a day. ( I would suggest 1/2 your body weight in ounces). See the wonderful benefits that not only your skin will have but your benefits your body will feel!
# 3 Don’t sleep with your makeup on
You’re tired, the last thing you want to do is go to the bathroom and take off your makeup. You can choose to take the time or you can choose to have a possible break out. Trust me, you and your face will be very thankful for putting your face first. Naked skin is happy skin. Especially if you’re wearing chemical makeup brands, you want to give your skin a breath of fresh air while you sleep at night.
# 4 Your Stressed …
Stress triggers acne and acne results in more stress, so it’s a vicious cycle. Basically, when you’re under pressure, your skin produces stress hormones, including cortisol, that can stimulate your oil glands to make testosterone that then increases oil production and clogs pores.
Relive your stressful like by a regular workout routine, meditation, make time for things you enjoy like reading, writing, quality time with family and friends etc … — all of these things will help you release stress, so your body doesn’t continue to release those pesky skin irritant hormones.
# 5 It’s Not You it’s Your Detergent:
You’re using the wrong detergent. Some chemicals in laundry detergent can be too harsh for your skin, and once you slip on your clothes or lie on your pillow, your skin might react to the residue that’s left on the fabric, resulting in breakouts all over your body.
Choose detergents with hypoallergenic, fragrance free, natural ingredients. Skip the dryer sheets, and this could clear things up.
By incorporating these tips and tricks don’t expect change to happen over night. Depending on your age, it may take up to three months for your skin cells to turn over and reveal new skin. Be consistent with your skin care regimen, and be patient and you will be on your way to beautiful healthy skin!
