Summer is in full effect and although we are already fearing the inevitable our skin and hair can use a little pick me up. With all the sun, ocean and lake water, and products to keep us protected in the sun.
Here are five natural tricks to get your hair and skin glowing again. They don’t take long they are very easy but they make a major difference for you in your final days of summer.
#1 Squeeze aloe vera gel into an ice cube tray and keep it in the freezer. Then you can just grab a cube and place it on those sunburned area as needed. Also the cold feels really soothing on it as well.
#2 Keep bugs away with dryer sheets (those pesky critters hate the scent), so put a couple of them into your pockets and you can say “shoe fly don’t bother me”.
#3 Spray your roots with dry shampoo at night (not in the morning). The tossing and turning in bed helps work the product all around your head. You will wake up with the most amazing bed head you have seen and it will look like you just washed and rinsed too.
#4 Remove those summer sandal calluses – Open-soled shoes look amazing but come with reprocussions specifically that heels can get so cracked and dry after wearing them for long periods of time. No biggie, though—just slice a raw potato in half, dip it in sea salt and use it to rub away all of the rough, callused skin on your feet
#5 Got self-tanner in places you didn’t mean for it to be? Squeeze some lemon juice into a couple of tablespoons of baking soda until a thick paste forms. Place the lemon concoction into skin and leave it on for five to ten minutes. Lemon juice lightens self tanner and is an awesome exfoliator. This mixture is also a great summertime acne treatment!
