i do NOT have a green thumb. I basically kill off or ruin anything I plant. Yet, I still want my yard to look fabulous and still be cost-effective in the process!
Here are some easy tips and tricks to follow so you can look like you have a green thumb even though it is more like a pink color.
#1 Get Hanging Plants:
When I was first attempting to “work in the garden” I didn’t even know how to plant. So I figured out a way that I didn’t need to learn but could still have the lovely garden I oh so desired; hanging plants. These are easy to maintain really add so much color and class to your lawn and as long as you water it, you literally can’t do anything else wrong.
#2 Buy a Gardening Watering Device:
Give a consistent and ample amount of water. Make sure the water penetrates the soil as opposed to just putting a little bit on the surface. Newer plants will need to be watered more frequently because their root systems aren’t completely developed. The best time of day is early morning before it gets too warm so the plant can really soak up the water.
# 3 Get a fun mat for the front door …
Spruce up the front yard by adding fun colorful doormat or even placing some fun wind chimes in the front so you literally “spruce” up your lawn and don’t have to get your hands dirty.
# 4 Start with a little Window Garden ..
Here is a great article from an old blog that I wrote. You can create a small little window garden with herbs and don’t have to worry about too much maintenance.
Now you have the tips and tricks you need to really get an effective yet simple start to gardening!
