Summer is the perfect time to bake with the kids and have them learn how treats can taste delicious and be great for you.
Here is a great oreo recipe you won’t know what part to eat first!
Oreo Ingredients:
1 Cup Almond Flour
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup of palm sugar
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
Filling Ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut creamer ( like vanilla flavor) or full fat coconut milk
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 teaspoons water, as needed
Directions for Frosting:
In a small bowl, mix together the coconut cream, honey, vanilla extract, and water.
Add water as needed until the mixture reaches the consistency of frosting.
Directions:
Place all chocolate cookie ingredients into a large bowl and blend with a mixer on medium to medium high. Set in the fridge for ten minutes so dough firms.
Use a rolling pin, roll chilled dough in between two sheets of parchment paper to ¼-inch thickness
Cut cookies with a round 2-inch cookie cutter. If the dough gets sticky or is hard to work with, return it to the freezer for another 10-15 minutes.
Bake cookies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper fat 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
Then top with the frosting and combine cookies.
Put in the refridgerator until ready to serve.
Enjoy!
