This is a great appetizer recipe for any occasion, and it will leave your guests feeling like they just ate a very chic dish!
Ingredients
1 lb crab meat, shredded
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1/2 medium-sized yellow onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeno pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 large egg
1 tbsp olive oil mayo
1/2 tsp dijon mustard,
1/2 tsp tapatio,
1 tsp chili powder
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp of creole seasoning
1/2 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
2 Tbsp of unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 cup of almond flour
Directions:
In a large skillet sauté the Dijon mustard, red pepper, celery, onion, jalapeno in the oil until onion is slightly browned.
Then in a separate bowl combine the crab, chili powder, almond flour, coconut, creole seasoning, garlic clove, olive oil mayo, tapatio, and onion skillet ingredients; mix throughout.
In a small bowl wisk the egg with 1 tablespoon of unsweetened almond milk and add to the ingredients.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until it comes together.
Take about a handful and shape into a fist-sized patty.
Place on baking sheet (this should make about 6-8 patties).
Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Bake at 375 for 17-20 minutes, turning once
