You don’t want to spend long hours at the gym, but you want to get stronger, fitter, leaner, and just plain Hot!
Here are my 5 tips to get you the most bang for your buck!
Hydrate Generously – Be sure to hydrate throughout the day. It takes a couple of hours for your body to absorb the water, so you can’t just drink right before exercise. Make it a habit to drink water regularly throughout the day.
Pre and Post Workout Fuel – Make Sure to fuel your body before and after your workout to help you stay energized during the workout and fueling and repairing your muscles after. You would have a protein/carb shake before and after the workout, and a small meal of protein/carbs within 60-90 minutes of the workout
Have Music to Pump You Up – Here is a link, on the important role music plays in your workouts!
HIIT Your Workout – High Intensity Interval training has many wonderful benefits. Increases Metabolism, it’s quick and convenient, Not a lot or no equipment involved, you can do it anywhere, and it kicks your butt!
Don’t Skip the Stretching – It is important to warm your body up and cool your body down. Stretching, mobility, and flexibility will enable you to work harder, protect your body from injuries, and keep the soreness to a minimum.
