Here are my top five fit tips to stay health and happy this 2018. It is very simple tasks to help keep you on track and stay inline with your goals and dreams!
#1 Get at least seven hours of sleep a night….
Studies show people who don’t get sleep feel more hungry, make poorer food choices, and eat more ( of the bad stuff too). Shoot for seven to nine hours of sleep per night, and try to get to bed earlier instead of sleeping in later. In a perfect world we would go to bed when the sun goes down and get up when it rises. You must shut down all LED lights at least 30 minutes before bed; this means no phones, television, or computers!
#2 Meal prep every Sunday …
A lack of preparation has led to many people’s healthy-eating pitfalls. I plan my meals on Saturday afternoon (i.e recipes and grocery lists) and then make at least two to three meals on Sunday so I know that until Wednesday or Thursday I won’t have to worry about food. I can’t begin to express the stress that is involved with what to make, how to make, and when to make food … This is a professional approach that will make you very successful in your nutrition and other aspects of planning in your life.
#3 Exercise, of course, but do it in ways that feel good to you ….
People often choose exercise classes they loathe. Life is stressful enough so why Once you give yourself permission to stop punishing yourself and seek out pleasure [in your workouts], you’re more likely to stick with it!
#4 Drink enough water ….
Keep refilling it and drinking it throughout the day. You’ll be less hungry, and water will help you to stay energized and focused. Here is a great article on the 10 benefits water has on your overall health.
#5 Journal Each Morning and Write Your Goals Daily …
Nobody knows YOU better than YOU. One of the secrets I do to selling/enrolling someone to hit their goals or solve their problems is one simple thing, I ask them questions. Why? Because YOU will figure out the answer(s). I can’t tell you the answers to your problems nor can any else; your friends or family. Only you can.
Journaling will help you to conduct real experiments to figure out what works for you – and why. If you want to make any changes in the new year, a journal will help you make sense of them. The best is to look back from the previous year, read over it and see how much you have really grown and changed!
Make this your best year yet Fit Ones!
