I talked about this last month: the reverse New Year’s goal. What fitness or health goal would you like to achieve by December 31st? Too-tight black dresses, after all, aren’t as fun to boogie in as the ball drops on New Year’s Eve.
KISS It (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID)
Just focus on one small task. Doing a real pushup from the toes, going to the gym three times a week all month long, promising yourself to eat breakfast every day, meeting your friend at the gym etc .
Make it an Appointment
It’s hectic this time of year, I know, so get out your calendar (right now!) and plan for how you’re going to achieve this goal. The best way to achieve your goals is to workout in the morning. This way it is off your to do list and the holiday festivities and distractions can’t get in the way of your goals.
Track your goals
Keep your goals in your focus at all times and track your progress as well. My husband puts his goals on post its in our bathroom this way he is able to constantly able to focus on them.
Celebrate You!
When you reach your goal(s), what better way to celebrate than with friends and family. Throw a little party or say yes to that invitation and celebrate you! Go out and celebrate the little victories and think about what goal you are going to achieve next.
