One of my favorite treats is an extreme ice blended from coffee bean. In a perfect world I would get up every morning and have my very own coffee bean barista hand me this delicious treat to get me out of bed each morning. Since we are not in fantasy land here is a great at home alternative that is just as delicious and really gives me that “extreme” jolt that I need!
Coffee Blended
1/4 to 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee or an espresso shot, chilled
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
1/4 cup of coconut creamer (I prefer vanilla creamer from soylicious).
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla whey protein
1 cup ice cubes or crushed ice
Directions:
Place crushed ice cubes in the blender, then add coffee, milk, creamer, vanilla, and maple syrup. Last, add protein powder and cinnamon and blend until you get that “frappe” texture.
*If it is not frappe enough for you, you can always add more ice to make the consistency thicker.
