Do you ever wonder why you are unable to take your goals to the next level?
Or wondering why you can’t take it to the next level?
Well how well are you tracking your goals, do you even know where you want to go or more over where you came from?
How can you expect to progress or see what you have accomplished, if you don’t have a clear vision of where you are now.
The key to gaining momentum and knowledge, is to know exactly where you are currently. This will help pave the road and build the foundation to lead you to your ultimate goals.
When I first begun my CrossFit workouts, I never journaled. I was lazy and didn’t believe it to be that important; I was brutality mistaken! Without my journal, I was never able to see my accomplishments or improvements. We typically our biggest critic and without a clear vision and direction we will most likely never hit our ultimate goals because we will be to wrapped up in the negative about us.
It wasn’t until last year that I really dialed in on journaling not only my workouts, but my nutrition, and my day-to-day affairs as well. Low and behold everything in my life i.e. my workouts, nutrition, and life in general began to improve.
Take for example our nutrition, maybe we are not eating as well as we think… but with tracking what we put in our mouth we can now have an accurate depiction of the place we are at and the tweaks we can improve on to take us where we want to go.
With my workouts I look back from last year, and although I don’t feel like I have made much progress I have. I remember when a handstand push up felt impossible, and now I am able to do them in workouts! Or eating a salad without dressing seemed impossible and now I can’t even look at dressing unless its olive oil and balsamic.
With plans we can accomplish anything we want, because we have a driving purpose to them!
With the details on paper, I had a clear vision of where I was, and an even clearer vision of where I wanted to be!
So I encourage you Fit Ones to take a 30 day challenge with one aspect of your life (i.e. your nutrition, your workouts, finances etc…), and see how you are actually doing instead of how you “think” you are doing!
The proof will be in the pudding or the paper!
3…2…1… Journal!
