You know that feeling of waking up knowing that you have to get a workout in, trying to take your sweet old time, hoping that work has a sudden emergency that will make you have to “skip” your beloved workout…..
This is when we need our “why” to come in and kick us into gear!
I had a client this morning tell that she woke up and told herself “I am not going to workout today” and as she continued to say this to herself as she got up out of bed, got dressed, and headed on over to the infamous site of the dreaded workout.
So why did she come….. even though she made it very clear “That she was not going to go”? She told me that if she did not go today she would not have been able to make up the session in time and it would have gone to waste. This may not seem like a big reason for you, but for her it made her succeed at fitness today!
Of course when she was done she felt like a million bucks!
Soooo Why? What makes us tick….. why do we still go when all we want to do is stay in bed, or go for coffee etc…
I have had many why’s throughout my fitness career, and they are ever growing and changing! It can be as simple as I want to prove to myself that I can, or I want to look great for ….., or I know when I am done my day will be better because of it.
It does not have to be complex, it just has to make you DO IT!
