We have so many important decisions that we need to make these days. We have a lot of pressures and sometimes we can’t be the best that WE should be because we are caught up on all of our day-to-day routines.
As I was talking with a potential client on Monday, she was telling me about her home. She said “It is an average home, in an average area, and we have average jobs; we are just average”. I just listened to her, but it really got me to thinking
Why is she ok with that?
and what is the definition of average anyway?
Websters Definition of Average:
a: being about midway between extremes <a man of average height>
b: not out of the ordinary : common
Are we really average if we are being the best that we can be? Just because we aren’t Oprah or mother Teresa that doesn’t mean we are just your average Joe.
If we are utilizing our gifts and talents to the best of our ability we are touching people’s lives that we might not even know.
I have a tendency to think I need to save the world in order to leave my legacy, but if I can do my best to help people become healthier and feel better about themselves I am doing my job daily. Even if I don’t change the nation as a whole, I am making a positive impact daily on my family and friends and that in itself is not average.
So Fit Ones do you consider yourself average? If so why, and what steps are you going to take to be an example and not just be “average”.
